A Gentleman's Christmas Essentials

A Gentleman's Christmas Essentials
Now that we're a good couple of days into December, it's perfectly acceptable to start using the 'C' word. Yes, Christmas.

Every year, it seems to come around a lot quicker than the last and we're not as prepared for it as we promised ourselves we would be last year.

It's undoubtedly the season of giving, happiness and spending quality time with friends, family and that aunty & uncle you only see once a year. This is all part of the fun and are the moments that define the season.

As you'll be mingling with more people than usual over the coming weeks and attending a festive party or two, it's important to stay one step ahead and keep your appearances in check.
We've compiled our top essentials for your Christmas season 2016.

1 - Victor - £44.99

Because you're going to want to show up in style. Victor can be your new best friend, offering a great style & versatility across the board. Made from a thicker, 100%, 175gsm Cotton, you'll remain nicely warm as well. One of our best sellers and a style that receives the most incredible feedback. Fitted to perfection and styled subtley enough to please any style conscious chap.

2 - John Varvatos - Artisan - £60

When you smell good, the world around you changes. Finding a scent that smells good, does not mean you should use half of the bottle for that one night out, however. Your ideal usage should be 2-4 sprays around the neck and wrists, that will suffice to keep you smelling grand all evening long. Your colleagues / friends / family will notice and thats only a good thing. If you play your cards right, you may even get this one for Christmas yourself!

3 - Shearling Jacket - Topman - £90

It's all about staying warm through these winter months. The last thing you could do with this Christmas is a cold and i'm sure the people you're catching up with don't want to catch one from you either. Shearling Coats are an on trend way of ensuring that doesn't happen. Commonly a waist length leather or suede jacket, lined with pure joy and warmth. Pair with a set of leather gloves and a cashmere scarf & you really are onto a winner and definitely on your way to a flu-free christmas.

4 - Ted Baker - Camroon Chelsea Boots - £150

Footwear could possibly be the most important choice this season. With the weather changing in the blink of an eye, you're not going to want to get caught out and end up ruining your favourite pair of suedes or ending up with soggy feet when walking home. Chelsea Boots are always a great choice, offering style, versatility and function. Opt for leather though and fear not for the weather.

5 - Hip Flask - Aspinal of London - £49

For the walk home. On these dark cold nights, sometimes, one finds himself walking home from an evening catching up with old friends. A good hat and scarf can only do so much, sometimes you need that extra little bit of warmth. Nothing a flask filled with great bourbon or whiskey wouldn't sort out. A nice little essential to help you get through the 10 minutes from the bar to your doorstep.

6 - Fleming Gloves - Dents - £99

As if you weren't cool enough with leather gloves, these were featured in the latest James Bond movie, Spectre. Even more reason to kit yourself with them & earn ultimate Gent points among your friends. A good pair of gloves will pay dividends throughout the winter, so it's important to make them as stylish as possible too.

7 - The Pen by Ajoto - £155

What's Christmas without Christmas Cards? A well written card or note to a loved one means the most and you do not want it to look like your 4 year old has been left in charge of Christmas Card duty this year. A well crafted, balanced pen will do the trick all year round, but more so at Christmas time. A good pen for a true gent is essential and this Brass Spun beauty from Ajoto will take you on a journey through all of your handwriting experiences.

Now, just the gifts to worry about...
